An efficient and secure 12V Heavy Duty Emergency Light. Includes 12V 12Ah maintenance-free batteries, works on either 120 or 227 VAC.
The EL-HD12 emergency light can be ordered with 2 lamp heads or no lamp heads.
Easily extend your lighting requirements by connecting remote heads to the EL-HD12 unit. The unit will act as the main power source and provide power to the remote heads in case of a power outage.

Construction
The EL-HD12 Heavy Duty Emergency Light has an Injection-molded, engineering-grade, 5VA flame retardant, high-impact thermoplastic construction housing.
Illumination - Incandescent Model
The EL-HD12 Industrial Emergency Light can be configured with (2) 7W, 9W, 12W, or 18W adjustable lamps. The unit is also available with no lamps that allows additional remote head lamps to be connected for optimal lighting.
Emergency Operation
Upon failure of the normal utility power, an internal solidstate transfer switch automatically provides uninterrupted emergency operation for at least 90 minutes. The fully automatic solid-state, two-rate charger initiates battery charging to recharge a discharged battery in 24 hours.
Battery - Battery Backup
The EL-HD12 Emergency Light comes with maintenance-free 6V 10Ah rechargable sealed lead acid batteries. 50W units are equipped with (2) 6V 10Ah batteries and 100W units are equipped with (4) 6V 10Ah batteries.

Illumination - LED Model
Ultra-bright, energy-efficient, long-life white LED adjustable lamp heads deliver exceptional illumination, providing up to 100 feet of center-to-center spacing with a 6-foot path of egress at a 15-foot mounting height. Each lamp head operates at 6.0 watts, featuring 12 LEDs at 0.50 watts each for optimal brightness and performance. Designed for versatility, the adjustable glare-free PAR-type lamp heads include an all-inclusive assembly with the lamp, reflector, and lens, ensuring precise light distribution and enhanced visibility in emergency situations.
Remote Head Capable Option
The remote head capability option allows the EL-HD12 unit to supply power to multiple remote heads. The number of remote heads supported will vary depending on wattage model and remote head wattage. The LED model offers 38W (50W Model) and 88W (100W Model )of remote head capacity. The remote heads would then operate on the same emergency mode as the standard units (see Emergency Operation Section).
Electrical Components
Universal dual 120/277V voltage ensures compatibility with various electrical systems, making installation seamless. The internal solid-state transfer switch automatically connects the internal battery to the lamp heads, providing a minimum of 90 minutes of emergency illumination during power outages. A fully automatic, solid-state two-rate charger efficiently recharges a discharged battery within 24 hours, ensuring reliable operation. For easy monitoring, the unit features a charge rate/power “ON” LED indicator light and a push-to-test switch, allowing for mandated code compliance testing. Additionally, the low voltage disconnect (LVD) function prevents deep battery discharge, extending battery life and maintaining optimal performance.
Installation
The EL-HD12 Industrial Emergency Light is suitable for wall installation. Back cover is designed with universal knockouts for multiple installation configurations. Unit includes side and top knockouts for conduit feed applications.

How many lumens and what is the recommended mounting height and spacing?

The standard 9w heads have an output of 135 lumens each. The maximum mounting height for these units is 8ft. We suggest contacting your local fire marshal, who can determine the distance needed between each fixture.
