This Red LED Edge Lit Exit Sign is suitable for ceiling and wall mount installation providing a slick and clean look. When purchasing this unit, a recess box is assembled with the exit sign panel that allows it to be installed recessed into the ceiling or wall (instructions included). The edge lit panel is constructed of high-grade acrylic with customizable directional arrows to point towards exit direction. The removable front cover makes installation and maintenance headache-free!

Construction
The ELR Edge Lit Exit Sign series housing is contructed from premium-grade, extruded aluminum. Easily access the battery and internals with detachable trim piece. Standard housing color is aluminum with other choices available.
Illumination
The ELR Edge Lit Exit Sign series has ultra bright, emergency efficient, and long lasting LEDs. The UV stabilized ultra clear acrylici edgelit panel provides consistent and uniform illumination.
Emergency Operation
Upon failure of the normal utility power, an internal solidstate transfer switch automatically provides uninterrupted emergency operation for at least 90 minutes with remote head connected; 180 minute runtime without remote heads connected. The fully automatic solid-state, two-rate charger initiates battery charging to recharge a discharged battery in 24 hours.
Battery - Battery Backup
The ELR Edge Lit Exit Sign series is designed with a 3.6V 1800mAh maintenance-free NiCad battery. The battery is protected by a low voltage cut-off circuit.

Remote Head Capable Option
The remote head capability option allows the exit sign unit to supply power to up to two additional 3.6V LED remote heads (max 2.8W). The remote heads would then operate on the same emergency mode as the standard units (see Emergency Operation Section).
Electrical Components
Dual voltage input 120/277 VAC 60Hz operation. LED display indicates AC/ON. An external push button test switch allows maintenance personnel to quickly determine the operational status of the unit. Unit offers brown out, overload and short circuit protection.
Installation
The ELR Edge Lit Exit Sign series is suitable for ceiling and wall recessed mounting and compatible with drywall or dropceiling mount installations. Includes field installable directional arrow indicators. All hardware is included.
